The 27-year-old man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is not co-operating with police.
A man known to police was the target of an attempted murder Saturday night, according to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
The 27 year old was shot at approximately 10:45 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Martial St. and Récollets Ave. in the Montreal-Nord borough.
Responding to a 911 call, police found the victim a block away, on Paris Ave. with serious but not life-threatening injuries to the upper body. He was conscious when transported to the hospital.
SPVM spokesperson Const. Véronique Dubuc said the victim was not co-operating with the police.
A weapon was found at the crime scene.
SPVM investigators and forensic technicians left the scene around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. The investigation is ongoing and surveillance videos are being viewed.
No arrest has so far been made.
